Summary
189 samples collected from 21 Neoproterozoic sedimentary formations of the
Varanger Peninsula, North Norway. The samples were analysed for major elements
at the Institute of Precambrian Geology and Geochronology in St. Petersburg.
Interpretation of basin development and its tectonic setting, and of the
composition of the provenance area of clastic material were the main objectives
of this work.
