Ïn December, 2000 and March, 2001, helicopter geophysical surveys were flown over three areas in the vicinity of Østersund, central Sweden. The purpose of the surveys was to provide geophysical information for mineral exploration. The data were collected and processed by The Geological Survey of Norway (NGU). A combined total of about 2830 line-km of electromagnetic (EM), very low fre- quency EM (VLF), radiometric, and magnetic data were acquired using a nominal 200-m line spacing.

In August, 1998 and July, 2000, helicopter geophysical surveys were carried out over an area of about 560 km2 immediately west of Hurdalssjøen and the Garder- moen airport. The purpose of the surveys was to provide geophysical informa- tion for improved geological mapping. The data were collected by The Geological Survey of Norway (NGU) personnel and processed at NGU. A combined total of 2780 line-km of VLF, radiometric, and magnetic data were acquired using a nominal 200-m line spacing.
The report describes the cooperation between the Geological Surveys of Lithuania (GSL) and Norway (NGU) in the period 1992-96. GSL existed in 1992 primarily as an administrative body, governing the activities of state enter- prises which had existed prior to 1991.
The eclogite province of W.Norway is subdivided into 8 geographic regions. The three southernmost of these regions - Holsnøy, Dalsfjord and Førdefjord, are surrounded by large areas without known eclogites, while the regions from Nord-fjord and northwards form parts of a large eclogite province. The rutile content is generally 1-2%; 3-4% rutile or more occur within some eclogites in the Holsnøy (Hordaland), Dalsfjord and Førdefjord (both Sogn and Fjordane) regions.
NGU conducted an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey in the Nissedal area in July 2011 on behalf of the Region Geologist in Buskerud, Telemark and Vestfold; Sven Dahlgren. This report describes and documents the acquisition, processing and visualization of recorded atasets.
Available information on bathymetry and seabed types has been compiled within the Havsul I-IV areas off Møre og Romsdal. Only a limited amount of detailed seabed information is available, and the main database for interpretation has been a regional, digital, bathymetric database with a grid size of 50x50 m. The main objective has been to interpret areas of exposed bedrock, as such information is of importance for the early planning for offshore wind energy parks.
This report presents geophysical interpretation results of gravity data as part of a project entitled ORMEL. The main objective of the project is to discern the amount of groundwater, and hence energy, that can be withdrawn from the major sand and gravel sediments in Melhus. The object for this study was depth to bedrock and bedrock morphology.

A systematic survey of the concentration of elements in surface soil in greater Dublin has been carried out in 2009-2010. The soils in central Dublin have high concentrations oflead and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The sampled playgrounds in this survey have high concentrations of lead.

Catastrophic failure of large rock slopes in Norway has several times per century led to rock avalanches or large rock falls, which impacted into settlements directly, but also caused either a displacement wave when impacting a water body or damming of narrow valleys with often fatal consequences. Such events will also occur in the future.

In september, 1998, two helicopter geophysical survey were carried out over parts of Larvik and Porsgrunn municipalities. The purpose of the survey was to provide geophysical information to improve geological mapping in the area. A combined total of 3684 line-kilometres of VLF, radiometric, and magnetometric, and VLF data were collected in June, 1997, in a test area east from Larvik. The 1997 survey covered approximately 64 square km with a 100-m line spacing.

During June, 1997, a helicopter geophysical survey was carried out over part of Nordmarka, an area immediately northwest from Oslo. The purpose of the survey was to provide geophysical information to improve geological mapping in the area. Approximately 3260 line-kilometers of VLF, radiometric, magnetometric, and electromagnetic data were acquired, covering an area of approximately 650 sq km, mostly over the area covered by NGUs Oppkuven mapsheet.
