Summary
Ten gravity cores from the Barents Sea have been profield with the X-ray
inspection system (XRI) and logged for P-wave velocity, bulk density and
magnetic susceptibility using multi sensor core logger (MSCL). Sediment cores
were opened after these non-destructive analyses, sedimentologically described
and undrained shear strenght was measured on selected intervals. The cores were
subsampled for determining water content, wet density, dry density and
grain-size characteristics.
