Summary
The Geological Survey of Norway is in the process of making an inventory of hard rock aggregate deposits in coastal Norway. This report contains a catalogue of Norwegian coastal quarries presently in production and potential production areas along the coast of southern Norway. 9.8 million tons of aggregates were exported to Europe in 2001 and ca. 2 milkion tons were used in the offshore industry (continental shelf).
