Social geology
The section works extensively to identify and map crushed stone, gravel and sand deposits throughout Norway. The team also develops and disseminates knowledge about Norwegian natural stone deposits and their use. The section also work with geoheritage. In addition; we conducts general geochemical regional mapping, mineral resource exploration and monitors the environment to identify possible sources of contamination and pollution.
