I et samarbeidsprosjekt mellom Statskog og Norges geologiske undersøkelse (NGU) er Grus-og Pukk-databasen sammenstilt med Statskogs Digitale Eiendoms Kartverk i kystkommunene fra Østfold til Nordland. Dette for å få en oversikt over sand-, grus- og pukkressursene innenfor disse eiendommene, og ut fra de data som finnes, vurdere en framtidig utnyttelse av ressursene. Det meste av statsgrunn i Norge finnes i innlandskommunene.

The five-year Crustal Onshore-Offshore Project (Coop) is an integrated data acquisition and interpretation project established to study the onshore-offshore relationships in the northeastern North Sea and Møre-Haltenbanken area. The Coop Phase I Report summarises the results from the Norwegian North Sea and western Norway. New aeromagnetic, gravity and petrophysical data as well as heat flow data have been acquired. All new data were compiled with existing data.
The Geological Survey of Norway and the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate established the TWIN Project (Tropical Weathering In Norway) in 2009 to improve the understanding of deep weathering on mainland Norway as well as offshore. All known reports of deep weathering in Norway have been reviewed and registered in a GIS database.
