In Kangerlussuaq, SW Greenland an INTIMATE worskhop was held from 21-28 August 2000, under the convenorship of J-P. Steffensen. Aims of this workshop was:

- to review progress made by INTIMATE in the period 1995-2000

- to refine the remit and specific objectives for the next INQUA inter-congress period (2000-2003)

- to make a first attempt at compiling integrated data-sets for the whole of the Atlantic region on a common time-scale

- to agree the specific objectives of subsequent INTIMATE international workshops

The workshop was a great success and it was also given time for a couple of days for excursion to the ice sheet margin in the Kangerlussuaq area (se photos)
