Kjerulf-serien er oppkalt etter NGUs første bestyrer, Theodor Kjerulf, som ledet NGU i 30 år, helt fram til han døde i 1888. Målet med Kjerulf-serien er å tilby et rom for dialog og diskusjon med og mellom NGUere, å fortelle hva som faktisk foregår på NGU, og kanskje også bidra til at det blir etablert nye samarbeidsprosjekter.
Foredragene finner sted på onsdager i Knut S. Heiers konferansesenter.
