37 years of professional experience, including management roles from 1982 and extensive international co-operation for the last 20 years.
Management experience includes involvement in supervision of mapping projects/programs with annual budgets of min. USD 0.5 - 1 million from 1985-2009, within Norway up to 1992 and internationally from 1990 (with partners in the Nordic countries, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Lithuania, Mozambique and Russia). Clients included two ministries in Norway, the Ministry of Mineral Resources of Mozambique, regional authorities in Norway and industry.
Role as Programme Manager for International Activities and in earlier international projects included extensive interaction with international partners in the Nordic countries, Eastern Europe and Africa, responsibility for attainment of production targets and communication of results to scientific audiences, politicians and other users.

· Project leader, Mozambique: Management of World Bank/Nordic Development Fund-supported mapping projects in Mozambique involving reconnaissance geological mapping and mineral inventory in an area of 240,000 km2 with a team of geologists from NGU, BGS and Mozambican institutions. Interaction with teams from Finland and S. Africa. (2001 -2007).
· Program manager, International activities: Project acquisition, management and co-ordination of projects outside Europe. Member of the steering committees for projects in Ethiopia, Eritrea and South Africa (1998 – 2004).
