During the Vinterkonferansen 2009, January 13-15, 2009 in Bergen the poster "Timescales of Sediment Dynamics, Climate and Topographic Change in Mountain Landscapes (SedyMONT) - Erdalen and Bødalen site project" by Achim A. Beylich (poster layout by Katja Laute) won the price for the best poster of the conference.

I mars var en gruppe NGU-forskere i Rondane for å starte kartlegging av avisingen mot slutten av siste istid. Arbeidet ble ledet av Rubensdotter i samarbeid med Jochen Knies, Jan Fredrik Tønnesen og Bjørn Follestad

Gransker istiden i Rondane

Undersøkelser av sedimenter fra to innsjøer i Rondane kan gi svar på hvordan siste istid egentlig ble avsluttet i disse fjellområdene. Resultatene er interessante for klimaforskere, og for forståelsen av hvordan mennesker, dyr og planter etablerte seg i fjellet etter istiden. By Gudmund Løvø (read more...)

At the same time our group is not longer called Landscape and climate but Quaternary Geology and Climate Group.
