Young Trondhjemites 2017

Join the Young Trondhjemites-conference (YT) at the Geological Survey of Norway friday, June the 2nd.

Young Trondhjemites 2017 is the second edition of a conference for young researchers working with geosciences in Trondheim. The conference will be held at the Geological Survey of Norway (NGU) and aims at bringing together people from NTNU, NGU and other geoscientific institutions. Students working on a master, on a PhD, or recently graduated will have the opportunity to present their work as a talk or as a poster. In addition, several workshops and social activities will be held.

The conference will be held in English.

31 March 2017: Registration opens (no registration fee!)

1. mai 2017: Deadline for abstract submission and registration

2. jun. 2017: Young Trondhjemites conference

0830-0900 Registration + Coffee

0900-1030 Presentations + Poster presentations (ca. 6 presentations (8+2 min) and 10 poster presentations (1 min, 1 slide))

1030-1130 Poster session + Coffee (10 Posters)

1130-1210 Presentations (ca. 4 presentations)

1210-1300 Lunch

1300-1400 Presentations + Poster presentations (3-4 presentations and 15 poster presentations)

1400-1500 Poster session + coffee (15 Posters)

1500-1700 Workshops (How to present on int. conferences, how to make a scientific poster, how to write a scientific paper, how to use and do Outreach with my research, how to create point cloud with a camera using SfM)

1800- Dinner (+ Quiz)

Abstracts:

If you wish to hold an oral presentation or to present a poster, you'll be asked to upload an abstract upon registration. Abstracts should have a length of 100 to 400 words (figures not allowed) and be written in English.
