CV
I am a geologist specialised on landslide in hard rock slopes, including rockfalls, large unstable rock slopes and past rock avalanches.
I studied earth sciences and made my PhD at the Institute of Geomatics and Analysis of Risk (IGAR) at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. My main expertise is on landslide detection, characterization and monitoring using high-resolution digital elevation models. I principally focused on various techniques and applications of terrestrial and aerial laser scanning (LiDAR) to investigate and monitor landslides, but did also a lot of field mapping of landslide morphologies and structural measurements.
Since January 2010 I work for the landslide group at NGU on several projects related to rockfalls and rock avalanches. I am notably responsible for the regional mapping and investigation of large unstable rock slopes in the Møre og Romsdal county (western Norway) and for the detailed structural geological and geophysical investigations of the unstable rock slope at Mannen in Romsdal (western Norway). I also work on guidelines and methods for improving rockfall hazard mapping in Norway in collaboration with the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE).
