CV

I am a researcher in the field of landslides and subsidence. My current activities mainly involve the use of differential interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) to study movement patterns of the earth’s surface.

I trained as a structural geologist, specializing in the use of anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility for rock fabric studies. I received my BSc from University of Manitoba in 1990, my MSc from Lakehead University in 1992 and my PhD from University of Toronto in 1997. I began working at NGU in 1997, studying neotectonics in Norway. For the last ten years, most of my projects have been focussed on the use of various remotely sensed datasets including elevation/bathymetry, optical satellite sensors and radar satellite sensors.
